HSCC Oulton Park Gold Cup

Oulton Park (International)

Friday 29 - Sunday 31 July 2022

Oulton Park’s signature Historic Gold Cup returns for three days of retro entertainment with a refreshed on-track line-up next July. This special meeting celebrates the circuit’s past as the host of major single-seater and sports car meetings of international significance.

Single-seater highlights from the HSCC will include the Aurora Trophy for powerful 1970s single-seater machinery, the Historic Formula 2 Championship, Historic Formula 3 and Historic Formula Junior. The Guards Trophy and all-new Griffiths Haig Trophy will bring retro sports cars to the event.

New additions for next year will include the Masters Pre-’66 Touring Cars and Masters Gentleman Drivers GT series, whilst the HRDC Jack Sears Trophy will celebrate the earliest years of tin top racing. The Special Saloons and Modsports category will appear at the event for the first time too, whilst the Vintage Sports-Car Club will provide two grids of cars.

Further details of the race line-up, special commemorative trophies and off-track entertainment will be shared in due course.

All tickets will be sent in a presentation wallet and make perfect presents. Alternatively, you can select instant e-tickets.

COVID-19 GUARANTEE: You can book tickets safe in the knowledge that if government restrictions prevent us being able to admit spectators, you will be entitled to a credit or full refund.

Lodge Sunday

One of the slowest corners on the track, you’ll see plenty of passing attempts as the field heads out of the fast Druids corner and down the long straight. It’s also the final corner on the circuit, and the scene of many last lap dramas.

Knickerbrook Sunday

This is one of the most exciting spots on the whole Oulton Park circuits as cars and bikes rapidly decelerate from the high speed hill top straight into a tricky little chicane. This is one of the best overtaking spots on the circuit, so expect plenty of drama as you'll frequently see two competitors fighting to squeeze into a space big enough just for one!

Old Hall Saturday

The ideal place to watch the first lap of a race, Old Hall provides all of the high drama and tension of the start as the field jostles for position. Located at the end of a long straight, it's also the scene of overtaking attempts as the event progresses. The action isn't over at the entry to the corner and you'll see duels take place on the run down the hill to Cascades. • ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

The campsite opens at midday on Friday 29 July and closes at 8pm on Sunday 31 July

Please note - facilities will be provided in full during this time.

Whilst facilities will not be provided beyond 8pm on Monday, campers are welcome to stay on site until midday on Monday.

You are welcome to bring your car or bike onto the campsite with you. Please head to East Gate entrance on arrival, and you will be directed to the campsite and issued with a wristband.

There is no shop located on the campsite, but there are supermarkets nearby, including a Co-Op in Tarporley, and our circuit restaurant will be serving hot food, snacks and drinks.

BBQs are permitted as long as they are raised off the ground, but fires are not permitted. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol too.

Animals are not permitted anywhere on site at Oulton Park (except Guide/Assistance dogs), including the campsite.

  • FACILITIES

The campsite will offer full facilities, including toilets, showers and drinking water standpipes.

Whilst facilities will not be provided beyond 8pm on Sunday, campers are welcome to stay on site until midday on Monday.

The toilets are cleaned and emptied throughout the weekend. Please help us by keeping them clean and tidy.

Please do not use the surrounding woods or bushes. If you are found doing so, you may be ejected from the campsite and your wristband will be confiscated.

There are hot showers located on the campsite. Please be aware that the queues can be long at peak times.

There are plenty of bins provided, which are emptied during the weekend. Bin bags are provided at the campsite entrance.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner is available in our permanent Chequers Restaurant inside the circuit.

Please note - there are no electrical hook-ups available

  • EVENING ENTERTAINMENT

There will be live music or a disco in the Chequers Restaurant marquee on evenings during the event. Additional evening entertainment will be confirmed nearer the time.

  • LOCATION

The campsite is located to the east of the circuit, behind the first corner, via East Gate entrance.

  • SECURITY

We work extremely hard to keep our site secure. We have a team of security guards patrolling our campsite 24 hours a day, in addition to our other campsite staff including fire and medical teams. Nevertheless, thieves have been known to operate in the area, so we highly recommend keeping your valuables safe at all times, either by locking them in your car, or keeping them on your person.

MSV will accept no responsibility for loss or damage sustained to these items.

    MEDICAL - Call 07967 945644

    FIRE/SECURITY EMERGENCY - Call 07920 018804

  • RULES

Please keep noise to a minimum after midnight. This includes the use of generators wherever possible, particularly if they are portable external units. Any campers that persist in making excessive noise after this time may be evicted from the campsite without refund of ticket fees, or even banned from the venue permanently in extreme cases.

Road-registered vehicles are permitted within the campsites, but scooters and mini-motos are not permitted. Please be considerate of others and keep vehicle movement to a minimum. Sleeping in vans is not advised.

Campers under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.

Strictly no animals are allowed on site at any time, however Guide/Assistance dogs are permitted when pre-arranged with the venue.

Open fires are not permitted on the campsite (no wood burning). Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground. Please dispose of coals and single use barbecues (once cool) in the metal bins provided.

Never leave a hot stove or barbeque unattended. Keep roadways and fire lanes clear at all times. Store fuel and generators away from ignition sources. Fire extinguishers are located at various fire points around the campsite. Use only in an emergency and raise the alarm immediately.

The campsite speed limit is 10mph. Only drive if strictly necessary and watch for children.

Secure tents and gazebos carefully - always prepare for high winds!

Never use a portable barbeque or gas burner inside a tent, awning or enclosed space (for cooking, or heating when cold). A cooling barbeque can also give off poisonous gas.
Never run a generator inside a tent, awning or confined space. Consider purchasing a Carbon Monoxide alarm and use it inside your caravan or motor home if running an installed gas appliance.

Always check your gas cylinder for damage before using. Maintain good ventilation when using portable gas (remember to use it outside only).

Never smoke near any gas cylinder and keep all ignition sources away.

  • PROHIBITED ITEMS

For everyone's safety and enjoyment, the following are prohibited from our campsite:

    • Fireworks
    • Firewood
    • Chinese lanterns
    • Scooters/mini-motos/any vehicle not registered for the road
    • Drones
    • Offensive weapons
    • Restricted and illegal substances

Any such items will be confiscated by the campsite security team.
