Oulton Park’s signature Historic Gold Cup returns for a glorious showcase of motorsport nostalgia, starring cars from the ‘50s, ’60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, for three days across the August Bank Holiday.
The event harks back to a golden period for the circuit, when internationally renowned superstars like Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, and Jackie Stewart frequently descended upon the picturesque Cheshire circuit to compete for the prestigious prize.
The event has reimagined itself in recent years as a celebration of those days, with classic single-seaters, GTs, sports cars, and touring cars on track in honour of that heritage. It’s a popular social event too, with one of the biggest classic car club displays you’ll see in the North West, alongside a themed spread of other retro attractions, plus a major car auction. See www.oultonparkgoldcup.com for full details.
The full race line-up, organised by the HSCC, includes Historic Formula 2, 70's Road Sports, Aurora Trophy (with F5000 cars), Classic F3, Classic Formula Fords, Dunlop Saloon Car Cup, Formula Junior, Geoff Lees Trophy (for up to 2 litre single seater race cars from the 1980s), Guards Trophy, Historic Formula Ford 2000, Historic Formula Ford, Historic Formula 3, Historic Road Sports and Historic Touring Cars. On the Monday there will also be a demonstration on track from a classic F1 car.
All tickets will be sent in a presentation wallet and make perfect presents. Alternatively, you can select instant e-tickets.
COVID-19 GUARANTEE: You can book tickets safe in the knowledge that if government restrictions prevent us being able to admit spectators, you will be entitled to a credit or full refund.

Knickerbrook Sunday
One of the most exciting spots on the circuit as cars and bikes rapidly decelerate from high speed into a tricky chicane. Expect bucketloads of drama as you’ll frequently see two competitors fighting to squeeze into a space big enough just for one!
You can select your seat(s) when you order online, or alternatively you can call our call centre on 0843 453 9000
The ideal place to watch the first lap of a race, Old Hall provides all of the high drama and tension of the start as the field jostles for position. Located at the end of a long straight, it's also the scene of overtaking attempts as the event progresses. The action isn't over at the entry to the corner and you'll see duels take place on the run down the hill to Cascades. You'll also see the race winner take the flag and be the first to congratulate them!

One of the slowest corners on the track, you’ll see plenty of passing attempts as the field heads out of the fast Druids corner and down the long straight. It’s also the final corner on the circuit, and the scene of many last lap dramas.

The campsite opens at midday on Friday 27 August and closes at 8pm on Monday 30 August. Please note - facilities will be provided in full during this time.
You are welcome to bring your car or bike onto the campsite with you. Please head to East Gate entrance on arrival, and you will be directed to the campsite and issued with a wristband.
There is no shop located on the campsite, but there are supermarkets nearby, including a Co-Op in Tarporley, and our circuit restaurant will be serving hot food, snacks and drinks.
BBQs are permitted as long as they are raised off the ground, but fires are not permitted. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol too.
Animals are not permitted anywhere on site at Oulton Park (except Guide/Assistance dogs), including the campsite.
The campsite will offer full facilities for the duration of its operating hours, including toilets, showers and drinking water standpipes.
The toilets are cleaned and emptied throughout the weekend. Please help us by keeping them clean and tidy.
Please do not use the surrounding woods or bushes. If you are found doing so, you may be ejected from the campsite and your wristband will be confiscated.
There are hot showers located on the campsite. Please be aware that the queues can be long at peak times.
There are plenty of bins provided, which are emptied during the weekend. Bin bags are provided at the campsite entrance.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is available in our permanent Chequers Restaurant inside the circuit.
Please note - there are no electrical hook-ups available
There will be live music or a disco in the Chequers Restaurant marquee on evenings during the event. Additional evening entertainment will be confirmed nearer the time.
We work extremely hard to keep our site secure. We have a team of security guards patrolling our campsite 24 hours a day, in addition to our other campsite staff including fire and medical teams. Nevertheless, thieves have been known to operate in the area, so we highly recommend keeping your valuables safe at all times, either by locking them in your car, or keeping them on your person.
MSV will accept no responsibility for loss or damage sustained to these items.
Please keep noise to a minimum after midnight. This includes the use of generators wherever possible, particularly if they are portable external units. Any campers that persist in making excessive noise after this time may be evicted from the campsite without refund of ticket fees, or even banned from the venue permanently in extreme cases.
Road-registered vehicles are permitted within the campsites, but scooters and mini-motos are not permitted. Please be considerate of others and keep vehicle movement to a minimum. Sleeping in vans is not advised.
Campers under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.
Strictly no animals are allowed on site at any time, however Guide/Assistance dogs are permitted when pre-arranged with the venue.
Open fires are not permitted on the campsite (no wood burning). Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground. Please dispose of coals and single use barbecues (once cool) in the metal bins provided.
Never leave a hot stove or barbeque unattended. Keep roadways and fire lanes clear at all times. Store fuel and generators away from ignition sources. Fire extinguishers are located at various fire points around the campsite. Use only in an emergency and raise the alarm immediately.
The campsite speed limit is 10mph. Only drive if strictly necessary and watch for children.
Secure tents and gazebos carefully - always prepare for high winds!
Never use a portable barbeque or gas burner inside a tent, awning or enclosed space (for cooking, or heating when cold). A cooling barbeque can also give off poisonous gas. Never run a generator inside a tent, awning or confined space. Consider purchasing a Carbon Monoxide alarm and use it inside your caravan or motor home if running an installed gas appliance.
Always check your gas cylinder for damage before using. Maintain good ventilation when using portable gas (remember to use it outside only).
Never smoke near any gas cylinder and keep all ignition sources away.
Visitors to events at all four MSV circuits can benefit from the use of free WiFi.
The service can be accessed from the pit garages and spectator grandstands at Brands Hatch, Snetterton and Oulton Park, plus venue restaurants (including Cadwell Park). This scale of coverage is unprecedented amongst UK motorsport venues.
To access the facility, provided free-of-charge via the Purple WiFi portal, users simply select MSV-HOTSPOT-WIFI from their smartphone, tablet or PC and log in using their Facebook or email address details.
This free service is also available throughout the week, incorporating trackdays and testing in addition to weekend race events.
Carers of our disabled guests may be entitled to free admission at MSV's race events. Please contact our call centre on 0343 453 9000 or [email protected] to make arrangements, no later than one week before the event you wish to attend.
There is a dedicated parking and viewing area for our disabled guests on the inside of Knickerbrook corner. For access please follow signs for public parking, then directions for label holders. Please ensure a blue badge is clearly displayed and visible to traffic marshals and await direction.
Please go to the Fogarty Moss Centre which is located in the middle of the circuit overlooking Cascades corner (See our venue map for more details). If you are no longer at the venue, please give our help desk a call on 01829 760301.
