The FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) returns to Oulton Park for the first time since 1993 this October when the Cheshire circuit hosts the opening Thursday evening (3 October) special stage of this year’s Wales Rally GB!
For many rally fans, this event will be their first opportunity in 2019 to experience the latest generation of super-fast World Rally Cars and to witness the extreme skills of star drivers such as multiple world champion Sébastien Ogier, Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak and local heroes Kris Meeke and Elfyn Evans. Not to mention 2003 world champion Petter Solberg, who will appear as part of his ‘farewell tour’.
The Dayinsure Oulton Park Stage layout will incorporate the picturesque circuit and the venue’s own rally course. A full afternoon and evening of entertainment is planned, with appearances from WRC legends, a music stage, the Dayinsure Fun Zone, stunt shows and an autograph session which will be open to all spectators. The WRC rally action will commence shortly after 7pm. Gates open at 3pm.
The event will also feature a special showcase of Rally GB rally cars in association with Autocar, with iconic machines dating as far back as 1932 including significant Ford Escorts, Group B rally cars and examples rallied by British heroes Colin McRae and Richard Burns.

To mark the 75th running since the inaugural RAC Rally GB, a selection of hand-picked machines will be on display in the paddock. These will range from standard road cars such as the Lanchester 15/18 which won back in 1932, right up to the latest generation of high-tech Citroën, Ford, Hyundai and Toyota WRC trail-blazers. Take in the sights of Gymkhana as Monster drifting icons such as Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni and Luke Woodham perform a sensational sideways smoke show packed to the brim with hand brake turns, high speed drifts and donuts.
The Dayinsure funfair will be operating throughout the event and will be completely free of charge to use!
Make sure to head to the garages of Oulton Park at 18:10 to get your favourite driver and co driver autographs before they head out onto the Stage!
Sir Chris Hoy will be heading out on the special Oulton park stage before the main action starts. Hoy will be driving the iconic blue Impreza in which his idol won Rally Spain in 1996, thus helping Subaru to clinch a second manufacturers’ world crown.
The paddock will be filled with the sound of music and engines from gates open to gates closing.
Hear from the teams before they head out on the rally stage. Make your way to the Music stage at 18:35 to hear from M-Sport, Hyundai, Citreon and Toyota.
An array of cars from clubs across the country will bring another dimension of the story of rally.

Visitors to events at all four MSV circuits can benefit from the use of free WiFi.
The service can be accessed from the pit garages and spectator grandstands at Brands Hatch, Snetterton and Oulton Park, plus venue restaurants (including Cadwell Park). This scale of coverage is unprecedented amongst UK motorsport venues.
To access the facility, provided free-of-charge via the Purple WiFi portal, users simply select MSV-HOTSPOT-WIFI from their smartphone, tablet or PC and log in using their Facebook or email address details.
This free service is also available throughout the week, incorporating trackdays and testing in addition to weekend race events.
Parking is free of charge for all public car parks
The paddock is fully open to the public, with no restrictions. Access to the pit lane may be restricted to valid passholders only.
There is a dedicated parking and viewing area for our disabled guests on the inside of Knickerbrook corner. For access please follow signs for public parking, then directions for label holders. Please ensure a blue badge is clearly displayed and visible to traffic marshals and await direction.
Yes, a baby changing facility can be found in our Chequers Bar and Restaurant near the paddock entrance.

No - all tickets for this event are sold in advance only and are not available to purchase on the gate.
Due to the nature and format of the event, there is no camping available.
All tickets are sent by Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery, meaning a signature is required. In the rare instance that your tickets have not arrived in time you will need to purchase them at the gate price and obtain a refund after the event by returning the gate ticket stubs and your original tickets to the ticket office at the address below:
